Privacy Policy — Word Mole: Find the Spy

01Introduction

YORQ Studios ("we," "our," or "us") operates the mobile application Word Mole: Find the Spy (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

02Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Display Name: You enter a username to identify yourself during gameplay. This name is visible to other players in your game room.
In-Game Messages: During gameplay, you may write text messages (clues) that are shared with other players in the same room.

            Important: We do not store usernames or in-game messages on our servers beyond the active game session. Once a game room is closed, all associated data — including player names, messages, votes, and scores — is permanently deleted.
        

Information collected automatically:

Device Language: We detect your device language to display the App in your preferred language (English or Turkish).
Anonymous Identifiers: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign a temporary identifier for the duration of your session. This identifier is not linked to any personal information and cannot be used to identify you.
Connection Data: Temporary connection status data is used to manage real-time gameplay and handle reconnections. This data is not retained after the session ends.

Information we do NOT collect:

Real names, email addresses, or phone numbers
Precise or coarse location data
Photos, contacts, or any on-device files
Payment or financial information
Persistent user accounts or profiles

03How We Use Information

The limited information described above is used solely for the following purposes:

To enable real-time multiplayer gameplay (matching players, distributing words, synchronizing game state)
To display your chosen username and messages to other players in the same room
To detect your preferred language and provide a localized experience
To serve advertisements through Google AdMob
To analyze aggregated, anonymous usage patterns to improve the App (via Firebase Analytics)

We do not sell, trade, or rent any user data to third parties. We do not build user profiles. We do not use data for any purpose other than those listed above.

04Data Retention

We follow a strict minimal-retention policy:

Game Session Data (usernames, messages, votes, scores, room settings): Deleted immediately when the game room is closed or when all players leave the room.
Anonymous Authentication Tokens: Automatically expire and are not retained beyond the session.
Analytics Data: Collected by Firebase Analytics in aggregated, anonymized form. No individual user can be identified from this data.
Ad-Related Data: Managed by Google AdMob under their own data retention policies (see Section 5).

In short: when your game ends, your data is gone. We keep nothing.

05Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Remote Config, Analytics) — Firebase Privacy Policy
Google AdMob (Advertising) — Google Privacy Policy

Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent preferences. Where required by law (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), we display a consent prompt before serving personalized ads.

We do not integrate any other third-party SDKs, trackers, or analytics tools beyond those listed above.

06Children's Privacy

The App is rated for ages 10+ and is designed to be a family-friendly party game. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
The App does not require account creation, email, or any personally identifiable information.
In-game messages are ephemeral and not stored beyond the active session.
Advertisements shown to users in child-directed settings comply with Google's Families Policy and are limited to age-appropriate, non-personalized ads.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at mail@yorqstudio.com and we will promptly address your concern.

07Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the information processed through the App:

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Firebase Security Rules restrict data access so that players can only read their own role, word, and messages until the appropriate game phase.
No persistent personal data is stored on our servers, which significantly reduces the risk of data breaches.

While no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, our minimal data collection approach means there is very little data at risk.

08Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR, CCPA, KVKK, and other applicable laws), you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your personal data
Withdraw consent for personalized advertising
Object to or restrict processing of your data
Request data portability
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Because we do not collect or store any persistent personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default. If you have any requests or concerns, please contact us at mail@yorqstudio.com.

To opt out of personalized advertising, you can adjust your device settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

09Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

If we make material changes that significantly affect how we handle user data, we will provide a notice within the App before the changes take effect.
